Talent search winners

    SPARTA-The 24th Annual Sparta Township Talent Search, sponsored by the Sussex-Warren Arts Foundation, was held on July 2 at the Lake Mohawk Country Club. Winners were selected in three divisions: Children: First place, Sarah Celia Lucas, jazz dance performance; second place, Peter Jin, piano solo; tied for third place, Elizabeth Henning, jazz/aero dance, and Eileen Carbin, vocal performance. Honorable mention went to Ted Carbin and Ed Weaver's Mohawk Men Emergency Broadcast; and Peter Vallario, dance. Juniors: First place went to Kiana Grant, jazz dance; second place, Erin and Molly Alderson, vocal performance; and third place, Elizabeth Masci, dance. Honorable mention went to Raquel Warehime, vocal solo; Paige McChesney Lucas, tap dance; Eileen and Julianne Frpehlich, Irish treble jig; and Tim Warrington, Liz Masci, Mike Vogt, and Doug Winkowski, Endless Era band. Adults: First place, Mary Ann Lucas, character solo dance routine; second place, Megan Candio and Ashley Kempson, vocal aria and mime; and third place, Irmingard Mayer, vocal arrangement. First place winners in all divisions will be eligible to compete in the 24th Annual Sussex County Talent Day at the New Jersey State Fair and Sussex County Farm and Horse Show on Saturday, Aug. 13. Coordinated and produced by the Sussex-Warren Arts Foundation, cash prizes and plaques will be awarded to the top three winners in each of the three divisions.
