West Milford — The 2011 Autumn Lights Festival is fast approaching. This years Festival will be on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Last Years Festival was the biggest ever attracting over 15,000 people who filled Union Valley Road and it can only be bigger and better this year with even more events, vendors, attractions and rides. "We are pleased to add more rides this year supplied by Fun Time Entertainment including a rock climbing wall and more jumpies for the kids. The ever popular bucking bull will be back and all ages are welcome to give it a try as it is adjustable to your size and capability" says Erika Crocco Media Chairperson for ALF. "The Pasta Eating Contest will be back this year and applications can be picked up at DeMarcos Rest. in Hewitt as they are again sponsoring the event. In addition, the ever popular pickle eating contest, cutest baby contest and the doggie costume contest will also be occurring throughout the day." Lots of local talent will be filling the stages and DJ Glenn will keep the streets hopping with lots of great music as well. “We have more vendors and civic organization then last year and a list of them can be seen at http://www.autumnlightsfestival.com/. You can also access us on facebook as well. Please also note that no more vendor applications are being accepted at this time,” Crocco said. Anyone with questions or wanting to volunteer should contact the ALF committee via e-mail at info@autumnlightsfestival.com. “The ALF Committee thanks everyone for their support and dedication which continues to make this festival bigger and better each year,” noted Crocco. The committee looks forward to another successful festival and hopes to see all the residents there. Dare we say it? The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 9.
