Walpack Inn hosts outdoor benefit concert

    Walpack — On Sunday, June 26, The Walpack Inn will host a benefit for Multiple Sclerosis. It will be the destination for a Poker Run but everyone is welcome. A huge outdoor show featuring the bands Big Boss Sausage, The Pacifists of Fury, R.E.N.O. and the Fantasia Project will round out the day. There will be food, door prizes, 50/50’s, classic cars and a cash bar. There are two start locations for the poker run, one in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey. Pennsylvania Poker Run participants can sign up at Baer Sport Center in Honesdale, while New Jersey participants can sign up at The Masonic Harmony Lodge #8, on the corner of routes 519 and 206. The Pennsylvania bike run will go through Pike, Sullivan, Orange and Sussex counties. The New Jersey bike run will go through Sussex, Morris and Warren counties. Helmets are required. Sign-ins for both are from 9 a.m. until noon. Both end at the Walpack Inn. The donation for the benefit is $20 and includes a T-Shirt, food and admission to the concert. The event will be held rain or shine. The show will begin at 1 p.m. and go until the early evening. Bring a blanket and sit on the vast lawn nestled in the shadows of the Appalachian Mountains.
