HARDYSTON-The Sussex County YMCA and YMCA Camp Linwood MacDonald are again teaming up for the second annual “Fall Family Fun Fest” from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Camp Linwood MacDonald, just off Route 206 on Flatbrook Rd., in Branchville near Stokes State Forest. The fun fest will include a scavenger hunt, spooky tales, pumpkin painting, hayrides, crafts for all ages and a costume parade with prizes for all participants, including the scariest, funniest, prettiest and most original costumes. Attendees can also bring in their best apple or pumpkin pies for judging in the pie contest, which will have two age groups, for adults and kids 12 and under. “We are all very excited to once again hold our Fall Family Fun Fest,” said Kurt Haas, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA. “It’s a great opportunity for area residents to get out and spend some quality time together as a family.” Cost to attend the fun fest is $10 per car, with the proceeds benefiting the Sussex County YMCA’s annual support campaign.
