YMCA to join in ‘Evening of Giving' at mall

HARDYSTON - The Sussex County YMCA will join other area charities in hosting an after-hours shopping experience at the second annual “Evening of Giving” from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Rockaway Town Square Mall. Admission is $10 per person, which includes after-hours shopping with many stores offering special discounts, give aways with purchases, and more. “With all of the holiday-induced madness ready to fall upon us, local residents should really consider taking advantage of this opportunity to get some of their holiday shopping out of the way before Black Friday,” said, Joanne Browne, program director of the Sussex County YMCA. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the local YMCA’s annual support campaign, which provides financial assistance to local children and families who wish to participate in programs at the YMCA, such as after-school care and summer camp programs. “The second annual ‘Evening of Giving’ provides everyone with a chance to avoid the holiday crowd, and get into the spirit of giving by supporting a worthy cause,” added Browne.
