Vanderpas — Bruggers

Jim and Elise VanderPas of Sparta are pleased to announce the upcoming nuptials of their daughter, Kristin VanderPas to Dr. Daniel Bruggers.

Kristin graduated Sparta High School in 2002 and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006.

She earned her juris doctorate degree at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2009 and currently practices corporate law at the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

The groom-to-be is the son of Dr. David and Denise Bruggers of Lima, Peru.

Daniel graduated high school in Lima, Peru in 1998 and graduated from Hope College in Michigan.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 2008. He is currently a lieutenant serving as an active-duty flight surgeon in an F/A-18C squadron in the U.S. Navy.
