Andover resident Alexandra Altonjy, class of 2011, received an award from the College of Saint Elizabeth Alumni Association. She was one of 19 recipients of the Student Academic Leadership Award who were chosen for high academic achievement and for service to others. Altonjy is studying English. Hopatcong resident Jessica Parigi, a Centenary College Education student, was honored this week with the Doris L. Moore Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship was established last year to recognize one education student annually who has demonstrated academic excellence and is committed to the betterment of elementary education. Parigi will graduate from Centenary College in January and will student-teach 4th grade at Byram Lakes Elementary School in the fall.
