Coppola joins his family in service

SPARTA — Recently graduate of Christopher Newport University in Virginia, Dominic Coppola took the formal oath of office as a 2nd Lieutenant, U. S. Army Reserves, during his graduation from college. He joins his brother and sister-in-law, 2nd Lieutenants Vincent and Cristina Coppola, in the service of his country, following in the footsteps of their retired father, now employed as Deputy Project Manager of Soldier Weapons at Picatinny Arsenal.

The newest member of the military was feted at a family reception with more than 35 family and friends in attendance on Saturday, June 2.

He will report for Officer Basic Course at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, Georgia, in October.
