County announces new director of Senior Services

NEWTON — Sussex County has appointed Lorraine Hentz as the Director of Senior Services. Hentz has been employed by Sussex County since 1996 and has served in various positions including the Director for the Sussex County Division of Community and Youth Services since October 2006. “As the Director of Senior Services, Ms. Hentz will be a strong advocate for the seniors residing in Sussex County,” said Stephen Gruchacz, Administrator for the Sussex County Department of Human Services. “She is a highly qualified candidate and we are confident that under her directorship, the County of Sussex will continue to provide strong leadership in its ongoing effort to provide comprehensive, high quality services for our seniors.” Hentz received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stockton State College and a master’s degree in public administration and leadership from Centenary College. The new role as Director of Senior Services takes effect immediately. “I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to lead the Division of Senior Services and look forward to working with all of the seniors involved in our various programs,” said Hentz. “I can’t wait to meet you all at Senior Day at the Fair, on Thursday, the 11th of August.
