Fredon resident named president of Turchette Advertising Agency
FAIRFIELD Turchette Advertising Agency, a New Jersey advertising and marketing firm, has tapped agency veteran James Gorab to become the fourth president in the firm’s 61-year history. Gorab replaces long-time President Michael Gavin, who will stay on as the company’s chairman. Mr. Gorab was promoted from his position as the agency’s Executive Vice-President, where he oversaw combined advertising, public relations and marketing efforts for the majority of Turchette’s clients. He has a lengthy history of success at Turchette, starting with the firm as an account executive in 1989 and advancing through increasingly important roles. Gorab played a large part in expanding the agency's client base to include a range of local, national and international companies serving the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverage, industrial equipment and consumer products industries. “Jim’s track record of retaining clients on a long-term basis and expanding the company’s reach into new niches made this an easy decision,” said Gavin. “Under his leadership the agency will continue to grow and evolve into new markets and will serve its clients with the outstanding service for which Turchette Advertising is known.” Gorab is a graduate of Rutgers University. He currently resides in Fredon Township with his wife and children.
