Golf outing raises $34K for hospital

    Sussex borough — Saint Clare’s Foundation recently held its 34th annual Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing at Skyview Golf Club in Sparta, raising $34,000 net to benefit Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex, and honoring Bill Snouffer for his support of the community and Saint Clare’s Health System. The day of golf, sponsored by Nielson Automotive Group and Chrysler Financial, included a registration brunch, tournament schamble start, cocktail reception, and dinner, and awards ceremony. The event also included men’s and women’s low gross and low net, longest drive, closest to the pin and putting contests, and hole-in-one prizes including a Hyundai Sonata, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Hyundai, and a Jeep Wrangler, sponsored by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall. A 50/50 raffle gave the winner, Steve Nardone from Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, $1,500 to take home, while nearly a 100 other winners went home with raffle and door prizes. A highlight of the event, Saint Clare’s Foundation presented Bill Snouffer with this year’s Jack Rizzo Leadership Award - an award honoring those in the community that have given their all to making the lives of their family, friends, and neighbors better - in recognition of his dedication and generosity to the Johnny Rizzo Golf Outing, as well as his outstanding support of Saint Clare’s Health System.
