Holy Counselor Lutheran Church awards scholarships

Lora Urbaniak and Ryan Lausch are the recipients of this year’s WELCA scholarship given by the Women’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The two local seniors were told of their awards by Pastor Christopher Bruesehoff on June 19, during the 8:30 a.m. outdoor church service. The scholarships are given each year to select high school seniors who have demonstrated involvement in the church. Marlene Clements is one of the main fundraisers for WELCA.
