Local man graduates U.S. Marine Corp boot camp

Parris Island, SC — Congratulations are in order as we announce that Nicholas Macierowski, 20, of Sparta NJ graduated from boot camp at the Marine Corp Recruiting Depot, Parris Island SC, on Aug. 18, 2017 where he completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training and earned the title of Expert Marksman. He was also an artist for his Platoon 2058. He is currently fulfilling his combat infantry training at Camp Geiger in NC, after which he will transfer to Pensacola, FL for aviation mechanics. Nicholas is a 2015 graduate of Sparta High School, and son of Glenn and Elizabeth Macierowski of Sparta.
