Local veterinarian honored posthumously

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts. — Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine honored Michael Ramieri, DVM, with a Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award earlier this month.
Ramieri, a Sparta resident who owned and operated Advanced Veterinary Care in Franklin, passed away suddenly on January 24, 2018 at age 44.
Ramieri graduated from RUSVM in 2002.
This award recognizes Dr. Ramieri for his extraordinary success in the areas of professional achievement, community involvement, advancement of RUSVM’s mission and encouraging and inspiring future leaders.
His family was present at the ceremony to accept the award in his honor.
