Sparta — Pass It Along has announced that its Founder and President Diane Taylor was named a 2017 Brava Award winner by New Jersey SmartCEO. The Brava Award recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of New Jersey's female business leader all-stars. Winners are recognized for their creative management vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy, and undeniable work ethic.
Diane is being honored among 40 of New Jersey's top women business leaders who collectively have generated more than $11.1 billion in annual revenue and employed 14,727 individuals. She is being awarded under the Nonprofit category, which acknowledges the hard work of the organization in the community.
"I am honored to have been chosen for this prestigious award on behalf," said Taylor. "It is truly the work of the Pass It Along team, that we are able to make amazing things happen, and it is incredible to see that work recognized by SmartCEO."
Diane was inspired to start Pass It Along (PIA) in 2001 after a group of neighborhood teenagers asked her to help them collect food for a local food pantry. Pass It Along is the only organization in Northern New Jersey that solely targets teenagers, provides service learning as a part of each volunteer experience, enables a one-on-one connection with the people teenagers are helping and delivers thought provoking self-discovery workshops.
