Troop 81 honors new Eagle Scout

ANDOVER TOWNSHIP — Nicholas Mark Krawchuk, 17, of Andover Township was recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor held at the Sparta Evangelical Free Church on September 10.
Nick is a member of Boy Scout Troop 81 in Andover. He is the son of Mark and Sandy Krawchuk, and the brother of Matthew Krawchuk.
Nick earned his new rank at his Eagle Board of Review on April 30. In addition to earning 25 merit badges, Nick completed an Eagle Project which involved installing two gaga ball courts at the Sparta Evangelical Free Church to serve children from the church and the surrounding community.
Nick is an honor-roll senior at Newton High School where he plays varsity lacrosse and serves as a peer leader. He also plays on the NJ Riot travel lacrosse team. While at Long Pond School in Andover, Nick was recognized in eighth grade with the President's Award for Educational Excellence. Looking ahead to college, Nick has verbally committed to attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he will play lacrosse. He was also recognized with a Scout Scholar Athlete Award in 2014 and is a member of Woapalanne Lodge 43 of the Order of the Arrow.
