LAFAYETTE — Adults, kids and pets are all welcome at the Ideal Farms' Fill the Sleigh event. This is a fundraising event for The Manna House, Father John's Animal House and the Wounded Warrior Project. Please feel free to donate pet food and supplies for Father John's, non-perishable foods and paper goods for The Manna House and monies to The Wounded Warrior Project. According to Jan Jorritsma from Ideal Farm, "Christmas is about the greatest gift to humanity, and we all know the light that comes into everyone's life from the act of giving. We are so blessed in this country and in Sussex County. Christmas is a wonderful time to reflect and appreciate what we have. This event is an opportunity to fill some of the needs of our community. Ideal Farm's is grateful to be a part of our community and to have this opportunity to "Fill the Sleigh!" The Manna House feeds the homeless, elderly, mentally ill, the lonely, the poor of pocket and the poor of spirit as well as those who fall between the cracks for public assistance. The Father John Animal House is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization supported entirely by donations, grants and fundraising events provides shelter, food, socialization and medical care for many unwanted animals. The Wounded Warrior Project's purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members and to help injured service members aid and assist each other.
