Jenna-Marie Tracy to receive Wakefern-Shoprite scholarship

SPARTA — Wakefern Food Corp. announces that Jenna-Marie Tracy of Sparta is a recipient of the Wakefern-ShopRite 2012 Dean Janeway Scholarship Award. The award gives Jenna $5,000 for her undergraduate studies.
Jenna will attend Mississippi State University where she will pursue a degree in animal science/pre-vet. She graduated from Pope John XXIII and is a member of both the National and Spanish Honor Societies. She also participated in the ‘Operation Smile Club’ and the Pope John Yearbook.
“We are honored to recognize our local students for their academic achievement and we are proud to offer them help to support their educational goals,” stated Joe Sheridan, Wakefern-ShopRite President and COO.
The 27-year-old Wakefern-ShopRite Scholarship Program is designed to help Wakefern-ShopRite associates’ children or grandchildren further their education. The selection of winners was administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America, a national non-profit educational support and student aid service organization.
