Lenape Valley soccer camp registration closes June 30

    Byram — The Lenape Valley Soccer Club will hold its 6th Annual Summer Soccer Camp at CO Johnson Park in Byram Township from July 11-15. Sessions for kindergarten children through fourth grade will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Sessions for children entering grades fifth through ninth will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration closes on June 30. The camp’s directors include Eric Schuman, Lenape Valley Regional High School’s boys varsity soccer head coach, Lindsay Meehan, Lenape Valley Regional High School’s girls soccer coach, and John Harrington, Head Soccer Instructor at Professional Sports Camps. Harrington, a former professional player, and Schuman, have been associated with the camp since its founding in 2005. The camp is focused on developing and sharpening fundamental soccer skills like dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting. Campers work directly with Lenape Valley High School’s soccer coaches and players. Daily soccer related activities include opportunities to practice individually and in groups, small games and daily matches. Each camper will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a certificate of completion.
