STANHOPE — Winter is fast approaching and there is nothing that a stay-at-home mom fears more than the boredom and loneliness that sets in during the cold months when playgrounds and beaches are no longer an option. The MOMS Club of Stanhope Area is offering a commitment-free open house play date on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Stanhope Presbyterian Church, 100 Main Street in Stanhope. There is a large playroom stocked with toys where children can play while moms enjoy coffee and companionship. The club is a group of stay-at-home and part-time working moms from Byram, Hopatcong, Netcong and Stanhope. All of the club's activities take place during the day when stay-at-home moms need the most support. Each month the club hosts a variety of activities including play dates, a coupon club, speakers on relevant family topics, walking fitness club, craft time for moms and moms' nights out.
