Nominees sought for Senior of the Year

Newton — The Sussex County Department of Human Services, Division of Senior Services is seeking nominations for Sussex County Senior of the Year. Nominees must be residents of Sussex County, at least 60 years old, and role models for their peers based on service to their communities during their senior years and their advocacy for senior issues. All nominees will be recognized on Senior Day at the New Jersey State Fair, on Thursday, Aug. 11, when the award will be presented to the winner. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the award ceremony taking place at 10:30 a.m. Nominees must agree to attend the ceremony.
