Arthur G. Alte

Arthur G. Alte, Jr., peacefully passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 92. Arthur was born in Elizabeth, N.J. to Arthur Sr. and Frances Catherine (Corey) Alte. He lived in Kenilworth, Sparta, and Ft. Myers, Florida. He served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the US Army Mechanized Calvary Troop B 117th Reconnaissance Squadron, and served in the European conflict during WW II. Arthur was a partner in the Electronics firm Roselle Radio in Union County for over 40 years. He was a member of the Lake Mohawk Country Club, Sparta Athletic Club, former member of Sparta Seniors Club, and Lake Mohawk Powerboat Club. Former Boy Scout leader, Troop #83, Communicant of St. Theresa’s Church, Kenilworth, Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta, and St. Vincent de Paul Church, Ft. Myers, Florida. He is predeceased by two sons; Arthur III, and Thomas Alte. Surviving Arthur is his loving spouse of 66 years Vivian (Gibson) Alte. One son; Jeffrey of Readington, NJ. Seven Grandchildren; Robin, Arthur IV, Melissa, Jeffrey Jr, Daniel, Thomas Jr., and Kevin. Six Great grandchildren; Alexandria, Jeffrey III, Brian, Jack, Justin and Keira, and one Sister, Lucille Makoski of Clark, NJ. Arrangements are being entrusted to Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, NJ.
