Dolores Flora Cocca
Dolores Flora Cocca (nee Gould) of Palm Harbor, Fla., passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. She was 78.
Dolores was born on July 21, 1943, to Veronica Ulichny and Albert Gould. She was raised in Newark, N.J.
In 1964 she married the love of her life, Emil Cocca, and they moved to Irvington and then to Maplewood, N.J., where they lived for 15 years. Together they had three children, Gina, Emil, and Michael.
Dolores worked over the years for Kartzman’s Deli and Campi Foods. In 1996 Dolores moved to Millburn, N.J., where she worked until her retirement, she then followed her love of the beach moving south to Tarpon Springs, Fla., before finally settling in Palm Harbor, Fla. No matter what city Dolores lived in, she always kept up with her love of gardening and cooking. She was also a true animal lover, and always had a beloved pet by her side.
Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Veronica and Albert Gould; her beloved husband, Emil Cocca; her brother John Gould and his wife, Carol.
She is survived by her children, Gina Cocca Machado, Emil Cocca, and Michael Cocca and his wife, Christine; her grandchildren, Marc Machado, Pamela Machado, Rebecca Machado, James Chenard, Katherine Cocca, Michael Cocca, and Samantha Cocca; great-grandchildren Cambria Howard, Kyley Meade, Paige Meade, and Isabella Machado; her brothers Taylor Gould, Richard Gould, and Michael Gould; her sisters Kathleen Gould and Irene Hansen; and her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 15, from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. during the last half hour of the visitation at Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ..
A graveside service of cremated remains will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at Graceland Memorial Park, 1900 Galloping Hill Road, Kenilworth, N.J.
