Irene A. Kimble

Irene A. Kimble of Sussex, N.J., peacefully passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at her residence. She was 95.

Born on Aug. 26, 1925, in Haledon, N.J., to the late Howard W. and Mildred (Predmore) Lescheck, Mrs. Kimble was known as “Aunt Susie” by many people. Mrs. Kimble had lived in Sussex County for most of her life. She had been employed at Kolmar Laboratories in Port Jervis, N.Y., for several years before her retirement.

Mrs. Kimble was a former member of the Sussex Baptist Church and Glenwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and enjoyed attending country music shows. She was also an avid bowler and belonged to the Sussex Bowling League for over 30 years. When she was ages 88 and 89, she decided to go skydiving and was featured in the New Jersey Herald.

Mrs. Kimble loved her family and spending time with all of them. She also had a soft spot for all animals.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert D. Kimble, in 2006; her son, Ronnie, in 1966; her brothers, Howard Lescheck Jr. in 2000 and Thomas Lescheck in 1999; and her sister Geraldine Little in 2019.

Mrs. Kimble is survived by her sister Jane Jacobs of the Lake Wallkill section of Vernon, N.J.; her sister-in-law, Marion Lescheck of Wantage, N.J.; and many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Visitation was held May 10 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, Sussex. Funeral services were held May 11 at the funeral honme. Interment followed at Clove Cemetery.
