    Judith Krogh Wells, 73, of Cannon Creek Airpark, Lake City, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 31, surrounded by her family. She was a former resident of Fox Hollow, Sparta, and the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. E. K. Krogh of “Krogh’s Restaurant” in White Deer Plaza, Lake Mohawk.
    Judie was loved by all and touched many lives in the Lake Mohawk/ Sparta community. She grew up in Lake Mohawk and was a PE teacher for many years at Sparta High School where she was part of its first graduating class. She was involved in the Fox Hollow Beach Association, the Sparta Tennis Center and Racquet Club, a Keep Volunteer, and the Arthritis Group. Among her many interests, motorcycles and airplanes became a shared passion of the family’s.
    Judie is survived by her husband of 50 years John E. (Jack) Wells of Sparta, N.J. and Lake City, Florida; her daughter Wendie Wells Goetz of Frelinghuysen, N.J.; her son John E. Wells II of Sparta, N.J.; her brother Kenneth E. Krogh also of Sparta, N.J.; her sister Linda Krogh Butkus of Seminole, Fl.; and her five grandchildren: Kylie, Jake, Delaney, Tyler, and Marguerite.
    In life, Judie was embraced by, and in death will be missed by, her loving extended family and many caring friends.
    A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A service in Sparta, NJ will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Judie’s name to any of the following: Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL; K-Nines for Warriors, Ponte Vedra, FL; Salvation Army; or the Shriner’s Childrens Hospital.
