MILFORD, PA — Laura Fox, artist, of Milford, PA died on Saturday July 15 at Geisinger Hospital in Wilkes Barre, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was 56.
Laura was self-employed as a bookkeeper and worked with many of the small businesses in the area and will always be remember for her constant bright smile and upbeat personality, even during her struggle with the disease. She made friends instantly with her warm brilliant blue eyes and willingness to start an easy, sincere conversation. Laura was a very active volunteer in various civic groups, most recently with The Black Bear Film Festival, during which she fearlessly volunteered to wear the group's mascot costume for a children's party. As a creative artist, she worked in sculpture and assemblages and was planning an exhibit this fall. She will be dearly missed by so many friends that loved her because of the joy, laughter and fun she brought into their lives. Survivors include her daughter Emily Fox of Wilmington, NC , her father William Reynolds of Crecent City, Fla, her brother Richard Reynolds, sister Helen Sullivan of Jacksonville, Fla, and her loving partner Robert John Keiber of Milford, PA. At the bequest of Laura, a fun gathering of friends, rather than a memorial service, is planned for the near future. Laura's favorite expression was "Oh, fun!"
