Rose M. Amoruso

Rose M. Amoruso, of Morristown, N.J. passed away peacefully Friday March 25, 2022. She was 100 years old.

Born in Willisville, Ill., Rose lived in Garfield for many years. Following her retirement, she and her late husband Frank. A. Amoruso (2015) moved to Lake Hopatcong where they spent many happy years. She had been an active resident of the Morris View Health Care Center in Morristown, N.J. since the mid 2000s.

Daughter of the late Frank and Nina (nee Castellano) Cencimino, Rose had a long career as a beautician and the owner operator of Lady Gay Beauty Parlor in Garfield, N.J. She was a devout parishioner of the Our Lady Star of The Sea Church in Lake Hopatcong N.J. Rose was involved in many groups such as PTA and the VFW. She was a member of the Garden State Fans RV club as well as serving as Past President of the resident council at Morris View Health Care.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Rose enjoyed dancing, singing and playing the piano. She and her late husband loved traveling in their RV and camping across the United States. She loved to spend time with her family, cooking meals and the great outdoors.

Rose was predeceased by her son Dennis in 2015, her brother Bernie Cencimino and her sister Marie Ferrara. She is survived by her loving daughter Janice and her husband Richard Geib of Hamburg, her granddaughters Dana LaScala and Christen Napolitano as well as her great granddaughters Gabriella Huckle, Violet Huckle and Andrea Napolitano.

Visitation was held Tuesday March 29 at the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, followed by a A Mass of Christian burial at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, and interment at the Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lodi, N.J.
