Pope John sophomore wins scholarship

SPARTA — The American Academy of Ballet Summer School of Excellence awarded a $5,000 scholarship to Andover resident Jennifer Luff at their Gala Performance at Purchase College on Aug. 13. Among the 120 dancers hailing from 11 countries who participated in the summer intensive Luff was one of four dancers to receive a scholarship. The distinction was bestowed by a faculty of world-renowned dancers and teachers. Luff studies ballet, jazz and modern dance at The Ballet Barre Performing Arts School in Andover. Jennifer in a tenth grader at Pope John High School.
