West Milford — Congratulations to Roberta and Ray Kilgallen of West Milford who, on Nov. 11, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Active in the community they have called home for the last 40 of those years, Roberta and Ray are as well known as they are well liked. Ray is a founder and past president of the West Milford Little League. Many of the town’s youngsters continue to play ball on Ray Kilgallen Field, named in his honor and dedicated in 1990. Now retired after many years as a union electrician in the New York construction trade, Ray donates much of his time as a volunteer to the West Milford Animal Shelter. Roberta has been in real estate sales for more than 25 years, selling homes to and befriending a number of young couples moving in to West Milford. She now teaches religious education classes to many of their children at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. It is there, on Sunday, Nov. 13, that Father Michael Rodak will witness the renewal of their marriage vows at the 10:30 a.m. Liturgy before family and friends. A celebration will follow, hosted by their sons, Thomas and Kevin, their wives Michele and Jennifer, and granddaughters Katie, Emily, Caroline and Emma.
