Sparta dancer wins big at regional competition

Kara Bode, 8, of Sparta recently competed at the Regional Beyond the Stars Dance Competition in East Rutherford. Kara received a Platinum Award for her musical theatre solo, “I’m Cute” and placed first overall in her category. She was also invited to perform in the opening number at the National Competition this summer in Atlantic City. Kara dances on the Competition Dance Team at Diane’s Dance Academy 23 in Newfoundland and has been dancing for five years.
