Sparta High School student to have essay published in anthology

SPARTA — Sparta High School Sophomore Zach Kayal was entered into a national essay contest by his English teacher Dorothy Talty. The contest, sponsored by Creative Communication, is devoted to the promotion of writing and motivating creative young writers. The top entries are chosen and published in an anthology. Among over 3000 applicants for his grade level, Zach’s non-fiction essay on 9/11 was chosen for publication and will be released in the Spring 2012.
