Thomas “Tom” E. Hantson, of Oak Ridge, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022. He was 69 years old.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1953 in Paterson, N.J. to the late Dorothy (nee Doran) and the late Andrew Hantson. Tom married Jeanne (nee Purdue) in 1974. The two resided in Jefferson Township for the last 40 years, where they raised their three sons.

Tom was predeceased by his adored parents Dorothy and Andrew Hantson, both in 1994; and his loving siblings Joan in 2008 and Don in 2011.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne of Oak Ridge, NJ; his loving sons Chris Hantson and his wife Shannon, Jeff Hantson and his wife Katie, and Eric Hantson and his wife Cara; his cherished grandchildren Christian, Graham, Ainsley, Willa, Charlotte, and Teddy; his loving siblings Rick, Mike, and Patty; as well as his many dear nieces and nephews.

For many years Tom worked for Panasonic Electronics in Secaucus, N.J., and Lowe’s Home Improvements in Newton, N.J.

Tom enjoyed volunteering his time with the Jefferson Art Committee and the Milton Recreation Association.

He will best be remembered for his love of fishing, collecting records, restoring furniture, and most of all for spending time with his family.

The family will received visitors Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home. A memorial mass was held on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
