Stanhope — The Morris Canal Girl Scout Troop 555 out of Stanhope recently held their bridging ceremony at the Valley Road School. Sixteen girls (not all pictured) walked over a small bridge signifying their promotion from Junior Cadette to Cadette. Two Cadettes from troop 850, Victoria Difabrizio and Sarah Najemian, were there to hand out flowers. The troop also received their Bronze Recognition Award. Girl Scout Leader Dawn Heinen and Registrar Susan Costanza handed the scouts patches and pins. Many hours were put into earning this prestigious award. The troop also collected food donations and Girl Scout cookies for a food pantry, collected and assembled candy for holiday baskets given to children and held a service unit camping-themed instructional event.
