Wirths honored for community college support

The New Jersey Council of County Colleges recently presented its 2011 Community College Spirit Award to New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Commissioner Hal Wirths for his support of the state’s 19 community colleges. The Council honored Wirths for his leadership in partnering the Labor Department with the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development to provide workforce training programs to nearly 50,000 employees at over 2,000 New Jersey businesses.
