Sparta - Ailish's Alpine Paint Centre will celebrate the complete makeover of its paint centre at 149 Woodport Road the week of Sept. 19-24. The event runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Visitors will receive a choice of either two free color samples (two ounces each), or their own personal color viewer software. This software allows users to see virtually how paints may look in their own homes using their own digital images. Among the features of the redesign of the center, which features Benjamin Moore Paints, include: an exterior sign emphasizing Benjamin Moore roducts and where to buy them. Ailish's store name is directly below. Store configuration includes a design inspiration center. A color sample selection center offers 260 of the most popular and trendy colors. Each sample covers a 4 square-foot area so customers can try the color on their wall before buying. "As an independent retail store for over 40 years, we found that customers were looking for a personalized shopping experience that they weren't getting at the big home centers or company-owned stores, said Ailish Hambel, owner of the store. "There is, after all, more to paint than meets the eye." Ailish, who became mayor of Sparta in June after 10 years on the township council, has owned and operated the store for the last five years. She also serves on the library board and the Sparta Chapter of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce. "With Benjamin Moore's help," she continues, "we've finished a complete makeover of our store that is already attracting more consumers and professionals - painting contractors, designers, decorators (they love the changes) and architects. Not only can our customers match colors to their ideas more easily, and feel great about their decisions." For more information, call 973-729-2300 or visit
