Lafayette — As of Saturday, Sept. 3, "Contemporary Art at the Mill" will be showing at the Lafayette Mill Antiques Center, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and by appointment. The space above the Millside Cafe will be devoted entirely to a contemporary art gallery. This a first for the 100-year-old complex, which includes over 50 antiques dealers, a frame shop and a gourmet cafe in its five buildings. Patrons will be able to acquire post modern art, ordinarily found in places like Chelsea or Soho, right in the country. The vision is to offer new, original, quality work of professional artists, from large paintings, sculpture, photography and collage to the unique and edgy trends of contemporary art. The antiques center, one of New Jersey's oldest and finest, is located at 12 Morris Farm Road, just off Route 15, in Lafayette.
