Annual Chanukah party planned by Newton Synagogue Youth

Newton — Fifth and sixth grade Bar and Bat Mitzvah students from the Jewish Center of Sussex County are planning the synagogue’s annual Chanukah party. The party is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. The mood for this uplifting party will be set with festive music. Children can enjoy activities and crafts to commemorate the miracle of the Chanukah, while snacking on traditional foods such as potato pancakes and chocolate gelt. Under supervision of adult synagogue members, the B’nai Mitzvah students run craft activities, games and face painting. The student organizers look forward to a successful party and warmly invite friends in the community to attend with their children.
