As Spartans prepare to go to the polls, Women Voters take a closer look

Sparta - Spartans will go to the polls on Nov. 8 to elect among three residents, Ralph Flaherty, Jerry Murphy and Kevin Pollison, who are seeking a seat in the local government. The winner will fill the position left open early this year by Councilman Doug Martin. To learn more about these three candidates residents are invited to attend the “Debate among Candidates” sponsored by the League of Women Voters. The debate will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in the Sparta Mohawk Avenue School auditorium.
