In recognition of Autism Awareness Month in April, the preschool offered applied behavioral analysis and primary language/learning disability classes at Helen Morgan School in Sparta and hosted a breakfast to thank the school’s teachers and staff for their continued support. Not shown are Kira Arnold, Pam Cronin, Terry Friend and Mary Hildebrand. Applied behavior analysis is a style of teaching that uses a series of trials to shape a desired behavior or response. Skills are broken down to their simplest components and then taught to the child through a system of reinforcement. (Photo provided)
