Babies in the backyard

The photo of three fawn was taken in Sam Kitchin’s Sparta backyard. Fawns are born with spots on their fur to help serve as camouflage as they learn to fend for themselves. They lose their spots after they are weaned, before their first winter. If you have a wildlife photo you’d like to share with readers, send it to, along with when and where it was taken.
