Brand named head of Fuel Merchant Association

Sparta — Charles J. Brand of Sparta has been elected president of the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey (FMA) for a two year term. FMA, founded in 1933, has an office in Springfield, represents 350 petroleum marketers and industry suppliers from around the state. The member companies of FMA distribute heating oil to residential, commercial and industrial customers, branded and unbranded gasoline to service stations, state and local governments and commercial fleets. FMA members also install and service central heating and air conditioning equipment and perform energy audits under the New Jersey Clean Energy Programs. FMA presents the industry point of view to legislators, regulatory authorities and consumers and works to keep its members apprised of the latest industry legislative and business trends.
