Askin & Hooker, LLC will host its fourth annual Wills for Warriors program for Sussex County Veterans on Nov. 11, 2019.

Attorneys Todd Hooker and William Askin established the program in 2016 for local veterans to have their Last Will and Testament prepared free of charge on Veterans Day. Since the program started, more than 75 Sussex County veterans have had their wills prepared by Askin & Hooker.

"We understand that estate planning can be an uncomfortable and expensive process regardless of the size of an estate," stated United States Army veteran and attorney Todd Hooker. "We value their service to this country, and we feel it is important for us to give back to them in some way."

In New Jersey, if you pass on without a will in place, the state will determine who will receive your assets, who will become the guardian for your minor children, and how your estate will be settled. Essential life planning, including a Will and a Living Will at minimum, is vital for everyone – no matter how much or how little you own.

"We understand the important role veterans play in our country and our communities," stated attorney William Askin. "We are honored by the positive responses we have had in past years and are looking forward to continuing to give back to the Veterans of Sussex County."
