Ryan becomes senior counsel at law firm

Laddey, Clark & Ryan’s former managing partner Thomas Ryan has become senior counsel at the Sparta law firm.
Personal injury litigator Timothy Dinan was named managing partner as of Jan. 1.
Ryan was a founding partner of the firm, which began more than 36 years ago, with Brian Laddey, Richard Clark, Lorraine Parker, Deborah Nicholson and Glen Kienz.
He served as managing partner for more than 25 years and also established and led the firm’s Employment and Labor Practice Group.
He will continue to advise clients in the business, government and not-for-profit communities.
During a 30-year career, Ryan served multiple municipalities in Sussex and Morris counties as municipal attorney and as employment and labor counsel.
He has represented numerous clients in the private sector, including Weichert, Atlas Refinery and Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative, as well as Sussex County, Sussex County Community College and SCARC.
Ryan is a former president of the Sussex County Bar Association, chairman of the Sussex County Economic Development Partnership and chairman of the board of trustees of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce.
He currently is vice chairman of the board of trustees of the Newton Medical Center Foundation.
