Camp Iliff to open at Rockaway Townsquare
ROCKAWAY Camp Iliff, which operates a popular child care and family entertainment center in Newton will soon be opening its first mall location at Rockaway Townsquare. Work on the 5,000 square foot facility, in the mall’s lower level by JC Penney, is already underway and is expected to be completed in time for a grand opening in September. “We see this as a great fit to introduce to our customer base here at Rockaway Townsquare,” said the mall’s General Manager Michael Hauser. “The Camp Iliff name is well-known for running a first-class operation and we’re excited to be the first mall selected to help with the company’s expansion.” The new Camp Iliff will offer a variety of services, including a licensed childcare center and family fun center with an open play concept allowing children to have fun while parents have an opportunity to socialize, meet friends and watch their children. Among the services available are a full-day licensed toddler, preschool, and pre-k program for the gifted and talented and an hourly drop n’ shop care program where parents can drop their children off during regular mall hours. The attractions include coin-operated redemption games, a Tornado Time for children to grab prizes and gifts in a wind machine and a Starz Video Room where children can create music videos on CDs. In addition, there is one of the largest indoor playgrounds in the county. Camp Iliff also stages birthday parties. “Over the past 11-plus years, Camp Iliff has successfully transformed itself from a small camp program to a growing and thriving business by answering the needs of the surrounding community, particularly, working parents,” said Theresa Iliff, Camp Iliff’s founder, owner and operator. “Rockaway Townsquare offers a great opportunity for us to continue that tradition and we look forward to bringing our passion for excellence to our newest venture at the mall.” For more information visit www.campiliff.com.
