Celebrate!

Sparta celebrated the Fourth of July in its annual style. Groups marching in the parade included the American Legion, members of the military, Elks, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, cub scouts, local fire departments and first aid squads, sports teams, and recreational groups. Following the parade, the Lake Mohawk Ski Hawks performed, and in the evening, a spectacular fireworks display filled the skies above the Boardwalk. Spectators packed Sparta to watch from areas around the lake, near the theater center, and by the Stop & Shop.
