Chabad Hebrew School is taking 2006 - 07 registrations
Sparta - Chabad of Sussex County’s Hebrew School is accepting registrations for the 2006-2007 school years at the Chabad Synagogue of Sussex County at 191 Woodport Road, Suite 208C in Sparta. The school provides an academic environment where children acquire a nowledge and appreciation of Judaism and its values through Hebrew reading, writing, Jewish history, holidays and more. “There are many parents who are not ready to make the commitment to enroll their children in a full-service Jewish Day School,” said Rabbi Lewis, director of Chabad of Sussex County, “This program will offer a first taste of Jewish learning in a creative, joyful, hands-on and interesting way. The hands-on learning style encourages the children to be active rather than passive learners. “Our school’s underlying approach is for the children to enjoy the time spent at Hebrew School so that they are left with positive experiences and a greater appreciation for Jewish education,” added Morah Toby Lewis, director of Chabad’s Hebrew School. The program is blended with games, incentives, crafts, dramatics, family celebrations and other extra-curricular activities. This is the school’s fourth year. The session will open in September. Classes are open to children 5-13 and are held on Sunday mornings. For information or to register, call 973-726-3333, e-mail Chabad@JewishSussexCounty.com or visit www.JewishSussexCounty.com.
