County Democratic Committee to meet May 22 at Hampton Diner
Newton - Howard Burrell, chairman of the Sussex County Democratic Committee, has announced the next meeting of the committee will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 22, in the private meeting room of the Hampton Diner, located on Route 206 just north of Newton. Burrell said the scheduling is consistent with the bi-monthly meeting schedule he established when elected chairman in December 2005. “Each month brings another example and more evidence of the success of our efforts to enhance the positive image, the notoriety and the influence of the Sussex County Democratic Party at the county, regional and state levels,” he said in a notification letter to county committee members. He noted that since the committee’s last meeting in March, it has “hosted a key fund raiser, which featured four-term Congressman Rush Holt as our guest speaker, and we launched the Sussex County portion of the Aronsohn for Congress campaign to a packed house in Wantage Township at Scott Garrett’s door steps.” Dana Redd, vice chair of the N.J. Democratic State Committee, was the guest speaker at the campaign launch. For information about the Sussex County Democrats, log on to sussexdems.com, or call 800-WIN-SCDC (800-946-7232).
