    November 1 Shawn Adamson, 32 of Paterson, was sentenced to two years probation, 120 days in the county jail, maintain child support and $155 in fines and penalties. Adamson pleaded guilty on Sept. 19, to eluding police. According to court records, Adamson was driving his motorcycle erratically on Route 23 in Hardyston, and would not pull over when signaled by a police officer. He was captured whe he ran out of gas. November 2 Donna M. Miller, 40, of Newton, pleaded guilty to criminal simulation, a fourth degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 9. Miller was pulled over in Newton on July 11, for a motor vehicle violation and the officer noticed that her insurance card appeared altered. When confronted, she admitted she altered the card, further stating she made the insurance card herself. Because Miller was currently serving a probationary term for a theft offense committed in Hampton Township between Nov. 1, 2002 and Sept. 9, 2003, the arrest for this offense resulted in a violation of that probation, for which she also entered a guilty plea to. Jeffrey G. Bissonnette, 34, of Stroudsburg, Penn., pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, possession of cocaine, and to motor vehicle violations of driving while intoxicated, and failing to maintain lamps. Sentencing is set for next month. According to records, on Aug. 12, 2004 in Byram, Bissonnette assaulted a patron in a bar after being asked by the patron if he could buy the defendant and his girlfriend a drink. On Oct. 16, 2004 in Hopatcong, his vehicle was stopped for having a light out. At the time of the traffic stop, Bissonnette appeared to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. A search of his vehicle resulted in the seizure of a cigarette pack containing a small amount of cocaine. George J. Meyer, 52, of Blackwood, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft by deception and two counts of disorderly persons theft by deception. Sentencing will take place in December. According to police, in early August of 2004, Meyer issued several fake checks to various organizations in Lafayette and Branchville. John F. Mize, 41, of Highland Lakes, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Sentencing is to take place next month. According to records, on Nov. 22, 2004, Mize struggled with Vernon police officers when they attempted to arrest him for driving while intoxicated. One of the officers broke a finger on his right hand during the struggle. November 4 Joseph Selobyt, 36, of Branchville, was sentenced to one year probation, $1,205 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. On Oct. 13, Selobyt pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He admitted to possessing cocaine while he was an inmate at the Sussex County jail on Oct. 30, 2002. The matter was investigated by the corrections staff at the jail and Sussex County Sheriffs Investigator Patrick Higgins. Stacy Alemy, 35, of Bloomfield, was sentenced to two years probation, attend AA/NA, $1,205 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. Alemy pleaded guilty on Aug. 8, to possession of heroin. She was found lo be in possession of a bag of heroin at her home when police responded to a call that she was engaging in self-destructive behavior. November 9 Denise M. Lenihan, 26”, of Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty to forgery. She’s to be sentenced December 16. Lenihan admitted to police that she made several withdrawals from her parents’ bank account by forging her mother’s name on the withdrawal slips. The crimes took place in Andover Township between June 27, and July 11. Kimberly S. Decker, 47, of Montague, pleaded guilty to theft, and two counts of shoplifting. Sentencing is to take place in December. According to court records, on July 12, Decker took a purse from a person shopping at the Shop-Rite in Montague. On Aug. 10, she shoplifted merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Hampton and on Sept. 12, she shoplifted merchandise from the Wal-Mart in Franklin.
