August 24 A 16-year-old Hopatcong juvenile pled guilty to third-degree Possession of heroin. The juvenile was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The youth was sentenced to 12 months probation with the conditions that he/she agree to testify truthfully against any co-defendants, six month loss of driver’s license, complete 30 hours of community service, have no contact with any co-defendants, follow all home and school rules, attend school daily, submit to random drug testing and pay court fines of $1,060. The juvenile received credit for time served in the Juvenile Detention Center. On June 28, the juvenile had been found unresponsive from a drug overdose caused by injecting heroin. Two bags of heroin were also found in the juvenile’s possession.
