    August 10 A Sussex County Grand Jury indicted the following suspects: Robert White, 35, of Montague with aggravated arson and trespass. The first indictment alleges that on April 9, White set a fire at home on Sleepy Hollow Road in Montague. The second indictment alleges that White burglarized a home in Montague. It is alleged that White gained access to the home by smashing a rock through the rear window. The second indictment charges White with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Both cases were investigated by the New Jersey Stale Police and the Sussex County prosecutor’s Office. Heather Gardner, 25, of Matamoras, PA, with possession of heroin and being an accomplice to possession of heroin. Court papers alleged that Gardner helped another person to possess 42 bags of heroin that were found during a traffic stop on Dec. 28, 2005, by Sparta Police Officer Marc Rubino. Stephan Shepard, 21, of Sussex, with distribution of LSD, distribution of cocaine and distribution of ecstasy. It is alleged that Shepard was selling drugs in August and October of 2005 to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Paul Helmrich, 38, of Vernon, with being an accomplice to distributing or possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute and with possession of marijuana. It is alleged that between June 17 and July 11, Helmrich assisted another individual to distribute 5-pound packages of marijuana and that he had more than 103 lbs. of marijuana in a rental storage unit in Vernon. Grand jury indictments are charges only. The defendants are presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial.
